Welcome to Neha Assar Artistry

I can't believe it took me so long to write my very first blog post. It is something that I imagined would be so time consuming so I kept putting it off and focused more on producing artwork and products and getting it all in the hands of you all - my loyal followers, customers and clients! 

While doing all of that I realized that there was so much I wanted to share behind every single piece of art I was putting out in the world for you all to see. I use my Instagram page (@NehaAssar) as the primary platform for everyone to gain a feel of the pieces produces but I am now ready to share so much more. With hopes to carry on with blogging consistently, I want to start off my first blog post with a brief introduction of myself and all of the creative things I dabble in. For those of you that don't know, this is my 26th year of doing henna professionally. I started in 1994 by holding a mehndi cone for the very first time on a random Tuesday. By that following Thursday, I had a bridal client waiting to get her mehndi done by me. The rest is history. I now work on 100 brides a year and in addition to the bridal work comes a slough of other side projects that I have going simultaneously. 

First off, I am a wife to an awesome husband and a mother to two amazing kids. I also juggle my full time career in the engineering world. 

Secondly, my online shop. About two years ago, I decided to dabble in e-commerce and I am so happy I did so. My online shop consists of hand painted glassware, apparel with my original paintings printed on them as well as fresh, made to order, mehndi cones. I also do custom artwork on street wear such as sneakers. 

 I am also a painter. I specialize in large scale canvases and create custom pieces for my clients that commission me to fill their walls with my aesthetic. I really hope to have a gallery showing at some point so I can share with you all in detail what my paintings are all about! 

As of late, I have been expanding my apparel line a bit but we will save that for the next blog posts to come. C'mon, I can't spill all the tea at once!
